October!

Can you believe it’s already October? We have been looking forward to this month for a long time, namely because – as you may have seen in the sidebar – Kyle has his first vacation of the academic year! Starting on the 15th, he’s home with us for 15 days! We’ve planned lots of fun activities around the area, as well as lots of downtime to hang out at home. The girls will be at such a fun age then (as if they aren’t now… or all the time really ;))!

Here are some things we’re up to, now that it’s a new month! πŸ™‚

– Sleeping in the crib continues to go well. Every other night it seems, they sleep 9-11 hours in a chunk. The other nights, they “revert” back to 7 or so at a time, which we are still quite grateful for! The newest task at hand is to take consistent naps and, sooner or later, stick them at consistent times throughout each day. We’re getting close!

– The girls are wearing 0-3 month clothes well, but we found ourselves repeating history with yesterday’s outfit. Remember these shots?:

Well, the 3 month ones don’t fit so well, either! Not quite as drastic, but Elise and Avery still don’t exactly fill them out. In due time though, they’ll grow into (and out of) them just like they did with the newborn versions! {Side note: Mommy’s a bit sad that she didn’t think to get these in just one more size… hehe…. so if anyone sees it, please let me know! So far no luck at Carter’s, or even ebay!}

We got a few free toys in the mail from “The Learning Curve” as part of a multiples program/offer (more on those later), and Elise LOVES this silly little zebra! πŸ™‚

They sure are getting big, and their mommy and daddy love them SO much! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  1. I can’t believe how big they’re getting. I love seeing the pictures of their big smiles! Good for you for staying home. Dave and I need to start taking at home vacations we just go go go and come back needing more vaca time!

  2. Eh, our home ‘staycation’ is just out of necessity! We would rather go somewhere (you know, say, Memphis?), but it just wasn’t going to work out this time. I miss you! I’m sorry I haven’t called.

  3. The girls crack me up how one looks like Kyle and one looks like you Jen, though that could just be my own impression. They are sooo adorable, thanks for keeping up the work posting.

  4. No, Kim, it’s not just your impression! There’s certainly no denying they’re ours! πŸ˜‰ They are starting to “meet in the middle”, so to speak, and look more like one another and less like exact replicas of their mommy OR daddy…. but it still is true to a large extent! πŸ™‚
