Music & Movement

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again — this is hands down the best activity we participate in. Anywhere. It blows Gymboree Music (only) away, in my opinion. Miss Ai Li Brown is so energetic and we have such a wonderful time each month.

Today, Kyle got to join us after working overnight! The girls hadn’t been in 2 months (illness, etc) and I was so excited to get back. It would turn out to be for good reason too, as they were the most fun they’ve been yet! They were totally captivated by Miss Ai Li’s singing, and are finally old enough to really follow her cues, though (of course) the instruments still found their way to mouths sometimes! πŸ˜‰

We all had so much fun, and can’t wait for next month’s class! Maybe some day we will be able to afford more regular classes with the Music Together program!

As usual, the mommies (and daddies, and grandmas, and nannies) sang songs with their kids, danced with them, etc. We also played with scarves and rhythm eggs (Elise’s favorite, for sure!) .

At the end, as always, it was time for some free play with musical instruments.

If you don’t have or aren’t used to being around kids, I’ll warn you — this video will probably hurt your ears. Parents/caregivers, you’ll be plenty familiar with the “music” being made, don’t worry! πŸ˜‰

After the class we stayed for just a few minutes to play in the Little Sprouts Farm.

We are so thankful to live near such a wonderful Children’s museum!

  1. That looks like so much fun! πŸ˜€ Would it cost money for me to randomly go one day? Even if it would cost money, I think it’d be worth it … I love our museum! πŸ™‚

Henry loves his music together CD’s! I’m looking into signing him up over the summer for one in Mason. I’m glad the girls enjoy it πŸ™‚

  3. Amy, let me know if you do sign Henry up for one! I really love them!

Cassi, I can always bring someone for free. You busy on Monday? You can come to Signing Safari with us!
