Just some video…

… from the last few days. ย Kyle didn’t see the girls for several days straight (except to peek in on them in angelic sleep), so we took a lot to share with him – and thought you might enjoy it, too! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Jennifer,
Very cute videos! It is just amazing to see how much they have changed and learned in the past few months.

I saw the gate from your entry room to your living room. Do you like it? Is it sturdy? I need something to block our living room to dining room, but it is such a large distance I’m not sure what I can find. I was thinking the gates like you have expand quite large??!! Nice seeing you today, even though we didn’t get a chance to chat much!

  2. I know, it’s just so amazing to watch them pick stuff up so quickly at this age! And to think, a year ago you and I brought home 2 helpless little babies (each)! ๐Ÿ™‚ Unbelievable!

The gate is one we heard a few different people say not to get, but we LOVE it. It’s sturdy as far as the girls not falling into/over it, but as you could probably see the bulk of it is mesh, so they definitely lean into it, etc. It’s obviously not as user-friendly as gates with doors, but that is more than made up for (in my opinion) by the fact that it adjusts to the top of our stairs, bottom of our stairs, regular doorways and the large space between the 2 rooms downstairs. That being said, if I recall correctly, it expands fairly large but maybe not enough for the space you’re referring to. Give me some time (and then remind me if I don’t!), and I’ll find the link to the one we have, so you/we can see how far it expands.

We’ll have to do something again soon, after the party is over!

  3. what cute videos. i just love the giggles in the last one.

  4. I loved seeing these videos and how much they are doing! I love Elise’s tuff of hair and her laugh in the last video. I couldn’t help but laugh with her ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for sharing.

  5. That last video is just precious with all of the giggling that both girls are doing.

It seems like in a month’s time, they’ve gotten much more adorable baby hair. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for sharing part of your days, I love seeing what life with twins is like.

  6. Thanks.. I do love the laughter, too! I’ve tried for weeks to get that interaction on video ๐Ÿ™‚

And yes, Elise has a TON of hair. Leah, it’s actually a full head of it but it’s practically see-through so you can just see tufts. The curls are hilarious and already do whatever they want. Poor Avery’s is starting to come in a little more, but VERY slowly!
