Easter, Part 1

Early in the week leading to Easter, we heard a rumor that Great Grandpa Dick bought some extra Easter eggs for the girls, in case we could make it up. Because of work schedules, church, etc we weren’t able to be there on Sunday, but made it a point to go up for a little while the day before. And after all, the girls had two sets of dresses to show off too, thanks to mommy’s clearance shopping skills last year (that she has since lost)! πŸ™‚

Of course I forgot my camera for most of the day, so you’ll have to take my word for it (unless Grandma Shelly has some pictures!) that we had a great time with family at Tony’s, where the food was great as usual and the girls enjoyed their first Freeze! After lunch we went to great Grandma Marie & great Grandpa Dick’s house for Elise and Avery’s very own egg hunt! They had a blast despite almost being blown away by crazy winds, and were beyond thrilled to find coins (their favorite!) in some of their eggs! Forget the dollar bills and the candy, the quarters are apparently where it’s at πŸ˜‰
In the afternoon and evening, there was also plenty of time of course for a couple of tea parties (special Easter versions that included marshmallows and jelly beans!), fun going up and down the spiral stairs, and stealing some of the candy that was out for the holiday.
Thank you Kaufman & Maas families for a fun Easter visit!
