January 2014 Recap

I suppose I’ll leave Marathon Weekend for its own post, but otherwise it’s high time I catch you up around here.  The year is once again off to a busy start!

In January, Elise and Avery each got a special week at school to celebrate their half-birthday (a little late with actual December birthday kids, Christmas break, etc).  They got to bring something in to share each day throughout their week, as well as a treat on the last day.

We also got another visit from Leo the Leopard!

We spent a lot of time (every day, really) watching Frozen videos, which – let’s be honest – hasn’t stopped even now that March is 1/3 through. 🙂

Nolan got caught red-handed in the pantry…

… and the girls and I took a trip with their class to Mason Christian Village to read stories with and sing songs to the residents there.

Also, this happened. They’re so sweet sometimes 🙂

The girls danced a few more times, all in preparation for the competition season that was fast approaching.

And on the sad-but-necessary-to-remember spectrum, Nolan was an innocent bystander in a fit of sisterly rage, and got his thumb broken in our study door.

We made forts –

… and overall, had a wonderful month together!

Lots more fun pictures in the new Janaury album!
