Fourth of July

Before we’re buried in snow, I figure I should catch up on these blogs laden with spaghetti strap dresses and summer traditions. July 4th this year was a rainy, yucky mess… so the girls actually chose, when given the choice between doing sparklers in our yard and sitting in the car for Kings Island fireworks (if they happened at all), to stay home and stay dry.  I’m pretty sure anything with the word sparkle would have been an easy sell, {Read More}

Avery and Elise’s Ariel Swimming Party

Ok… so I’m writing dreadfully out of order here, because – truthfully – I had no idea what I had written and what I hadn’t until I went through some things today.  So back in June, the girls turned 5.  We talked about that, but I never got around to sharing any pictures from their birthday party! With our house on the market during the prime planning period, I knew we were going to have to plan for a party {Read More}

Nolan at 18-Months

My sweet boy turned 18 months old while on our cruise, a fact which excited his big sisters more than anyone else.  It is a pretty big milestone I guess, so I thought I should hop on here and update you a bit on how big he is getting (or not) and how wonderful he (still) is! Developmentally, he’s not the same baby with each passing week.  He’s all toddler, mimicking our every move and curious about everything in his {Read More}

Mr. and Mrs. Rohlfer!

In May, four of the five of us were in Cassi and Grant’s wedding. Nolan was a little stud too, in his suit and tie. The girls had a blast being flower girls, despite running out of petals too soon and feeling a bit stumped temporarily.  🙂 We’re so proud of Cassi, and so thrilled to officially have Grant as part of our family!

4 Months in 4 Minutes

So much has happened in the last several months, that most days when I sit down here I just stare at all the things I would have loved to have shared with you.  A few things are going to get their own entries, but in just a few minutes I’m going to catch you up on some of the less major events. Perhaps one of the biggest pieces of news is that we moved into a new house.  When our {Read More}

Portrait Update

I’ll make this short and sweet: We’ve taken lots of pictures (and had a few taken).  I have adorable kids. Here you go! The girls’ 5-year shoot, and Nolan’s (brief) 1-year — Nolan’s 15-month shoot, for which he cooperated all of 17 minutes 🙂 —   And finally, just a link to this one… but here’s a handful of shots of myself I edited for a few projects I’m working on. Seriously, those kids, right?! 🙂

Nolan’s 1st Birthday, in pictures

The weekend after his birthday, we had a wonderful “it’s a small world” themed party with 75 or so of his closest friends.  I had such a fun time with this theme, after having waited years to do it! 🙂 What a fun day!  Lots more pictures of decorations and fun in the photo album linked above (April).  After napping off the afternoon, he had a blast opening a few presents and FaceTiming with some family. We sure do love {Read More}

Before the big birthday party…

… there was a cake smash session.  Behold, some pictures of the cutest boy I know.  Seriously, I can’t take it. The rest are in the April album here.

Easter 2013

This year was so much fun with the girls, who were finally able to really take ownership dying their eggs!  Some of my favorite pictures… Nolan supervised Easter was pretty typical for us – serving at church for hours and hours (wouldn’t have it any other way!) followed by an evening with my family.  No egg hunt this year due to some scheduling conflicts, but nobody seemed to mind.  The family is where it’s at, anyway 🙂 My picture perfect {Read More}
