Great Wolf Lodge Photo

We didn’t get to spend much time at the Great Wolf Lodge for the snow show, etc this year, but we did stop in for some gift cards – and for an obligatory snow chair photo or two!  🙂

Rice Krispy Treat Houses 2012

For the first time, the girls got free reign on their Rice Krispy Treat houses.  They did a great job, and had a blast!  🙂

Decking the Halls

Elise and Avery (and Adventure Bear, of course!) really enjoyed helping with the Christmas decorations this year.  With the house on the market we only did one tree and a few other things here and there, so we had plenty of time! The girls really were helpful, and I barely had to rearrange any ornaments 🙂 My sweet girl missing her puppy for a moment. 🙁 Nolan was far less helpful… … but no less cute!

Festival of Lights

Pumpkin Carving

This past Halloween, Elise and Avery wanted to carve a jack-o-lantern face instead of anything more elaborate.  Can I just say that we’re going to do this every year until they can choose and carve their own?!  It was so, so nice and quick – and very cute! But first things first, the goop.  If you’ve been around for a while, you know that some years have not fared so well when it comes to pumpkin goop scooping.  You also {Read More}

Niederman Farm

This fall, as with every fall, we spent a little time at a corn maze (etc).  Our farm of choice was Niederman again, mostly for its proximity to our house – but also because each year it gets more and more fun! We had the place to ourselves for most of the time since it was early in the season, so we got lots of time with the (best) swing (in the world), sandbox, duck races, petting zoo, and all {Read More}

Disney Family Day 4.4

The last DFD we did before our most recent trip was a fun one, and a bit newer territory than the classic movies, or even the parks.  As a family, we were turned on a while ago to Phineas and Ferb, and it’s growing on the girls pretty rapidly, too.  If you know the premise of the show, you know we could have done a thousand other fun things, but here’s what our day looked like: Perry cupcakes – Mad {Read More}

Reds Game

In keeping with tradition, we went to the Reds game with an infant during the hottest day of the summer.  It was utterly miserable, and I can’t tell you a thing that happened that had anything to do with baseball.  I know we got Gapper cups for the kids, we sweat a lot, there were a lot of tears shed, and we left so early it was hardly worth the ridiculous amount of money we spent to go. But hey, {Read More}

2012 Heritage Festival

The Mason Heritage Festival was as fun as always!  The parade was enjoyable, and this year they had an exciting new “Kids Zone”.  Elise and Avery had a blast!

The DFD that will Never Be (4.3)

Oh, Robin Hood, what gives? Seriously, for two or three rounds of Disney Family Days now, it’s been on the schedule.  I have nothing against the movie, but something always came up pushing it farther and farther forward on the calendar until it was too late. This time, I was determined it was going to happen.  I also read back through the old parties with the girls, and was determined to put more into this one as I had in {Read More}
